Nancy Whiskey
- traditional (ver.1)

I'm a weaver, a Calton weaver;
I'm a rash and a roving blade.
I've got silver in my pockets,
And I follow the roving trade.

(chorus)
Whiskey, Whiskey,
Nancy Whiskey,
Whiskey, Whiskey,
Nancy-O.

The more I kissed her, the more I loved her;
The more I kissed her, the more she smiled.
Soon I forgot my mother's teaching;
Nancy soon had me beguiled.

(chorus)

Now, I rose early in the morning
To slake my thirst, it was my need.
I tried to rise but I was not able;
Nancy had me by the knees.

(chorus)

So I'm going back to the Calton weaving;
I'll surely make them shuttles fly.
For I'll make more at Calton weaving
Than ever I did in a roving way.

(chorus)

So come, all you weavers, you Calton weavers;
Come, all you weavers, where e'er you be.
Beware of Whiskey, Nancy Whiskey;
She'll ruin you like she ruined me.

(chorus)

Nancey Whiskey
- traditional (ver.2)

As I walked into Glasgow City
Nancy Whiskey I chanced to spy
I walked in, sat down beside her
Seven long years spent by her side.

(chorus)
Whiskey, Whiskey,
Nancy Whiskey
Whiskey, Whiskey,
Nancy-O
I've got silver in my pockets
And I'm going to follow wherever you go.

The more I kissed her, the more I loved her
The more I kissed her, the more she smiled
I forgot my mother's warning
Nancy soon had me beguiled.

(chorus)

As I walked down through Glasgow City
With a heavy heavy heart and an achin' pain
So many men all courtin' Nancy
I'll not leave that lass again.

(chorus - repeat)

Northwest Passage
- Stan Rogers

(chorus)

Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea;
Tracing one warm line through a land so wild and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea.

Westward from the Davis Strait 'tis there 'twas said to lie
The sea route to the Orient for which so many died;
Seeking gold and glory, leaving weathered, broken bones
And a long-forgotten lonely cairn of stones.

(chorus)

Three centuries thereafter, I take passage overland
In the footsteps of brave Kelso, where his "sea of flowers" began
Watching cities rise before me, then behind me sink again
This tardiest explorer, driving hard across the plain.

(chorus)

And through the night, behind the wheel, the mileage clicking west
I think upon Mackenzie, David Thompson and the rest
Who cracked the mountain ramparts and did show a path for me
To race the roaring Fraser to the sea.

(chorus)

How then am I so different from the first men through this way?
Like them, I left a settled life, I threw it all away.
To seek a Northwest Passage at the call of many men
To find there but the road back home again.

(chorus)

Northern Lights of Labrador
- Don Fulford

I've travelled far by the northern star since the day that I was born
From the Caribbean to New Orleans I've been inclined to roam
And the beauty I've seen and the places I've been I thought I'd see no more
'Til I saw the lights that shine so bright in the skies of Labrador

Those northern lights that shine so bright when the night is cold and clear
The snow is bright from the pale moonlight and silence fills the air
I cast my eyes to those sparkling skies and I can see once more
Those northern lights that shine so bright in the skies of Labrador

This place I've heard in every word is far away and cold
But I have found in this beautiful town a treasure as rich as gold
Those dancing kights with their colours so bright each night as I look through my door
Those northern lights that shine so bright in the skies of Labrador

Sometimes when I'm down and there's no one around to tell my troubles to
I stroll outside and I gaze at the sky and I'm no longer blue
The night is still as I drink up my fill as if I'd see no more
Those northern lights that shine so bright in the skies of Labrador

My time it will come like everyone when I must say goodbye
I'll feel so sad as I look out the plane as it soars through the sky
And I think of the time when I can say that I'll return once more
And see those lights that shine so bright in the skies of Labrador
And see those lights that shine so bright in the skies of Labrador

Nova Scotia To Me
- D.Landry

It may not be hollywood,may not be Rome
You won't find a street paved with gold
It may not be heaven or paradise road
But the nearest place here that I know

(chorus)
Cause here I can sing, here I can dance
Be who I want, be given the chance
To love and be free, to love and be me
Nova Scotia to Me
And there with the roses I know you'll find thorns
Along with the rich there are poor
And though it's not Hollywood and though it's not Rome
It's the nearest place here that I know

I've travelled this country, I've rounded the globe
Sailed and I road the steel railway
I've been many places I may go again
But the nearest place here that I know

Cause here........................
